Location: Hull

Client: Sewell FM

Sector: Healthcare

Services: Passive Fire Protection Works and Survey

Project details

As part of an ongoing commitment to improving fire safety in healthcare environments, Sewell FM engaged Helix FMS to deliver targeted passive fire protection works across three key medical centres in Hull. These included:

  • The Calvert Centre

  • Newington Health Centre

  • The Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre

These NHS-backed facilities play a vital role in delivering primary care and integrated health services to local communities, making fire safety and compliance a high priority.

Our team of certified passive fire specialists carried out remedial fire-stopping installations at each of the three sites. The project began with a detailed inspection of highlighted areas. All works were completed to strict industry standards, with compliance to relevant fire protection regulations and manufacturer guidance.

Remedial Works Breakdown:

  • The Calvert Centre – 1 certified fire stop installed.
Newington Health Centre – 2 certified fire stops installed.

  • Jean Bishop Centre – 7 certified fire stops installed.

Each item was completed, verified with before and after photography, and catalogued in a central Passive Fire Register, which includes cross-referenced, marked-up drawings for full traceability.

Healthcare facilities demand absolute reliability in fire safety infrastructure. Helix FMS has proven experience in navigating the complexities of live medical environments, working discreetly and efficiently to deliver compliant fire-stopping with minimal disruption to building operations or patient care.
