Helix FMS was appointed by CDY to deliver a full passive fire protection package as part of the refurbishment project at Francis Askew School in Hull. With the safety of staff and pupils a top priority, our team was tasked with identifying and sealing all penetrations through both fire-rated and non-fire-rated walls on the ground floor.

The works formed part of a wider fire strategy to enhance the compartmentation of the building in line with national safety standards. Our qualified passive fire surveyors attended the site and carried out a comprehensive inspection of all relevant walls.

Following the survey, Helix FMS’s certified installers returned to site to carry out the required remedial works. We bring extensive experience working within school environments, where safety and minimal disruption are key.
