Project details

As part of essential upgrades to the Hull Magistrates Court, Helix FMS was appointed by The Fairburn Group to carry out a fire door replacement and installation project in the ground floor lobby. This important work forms part of wider efforts to enhance the building’s fire safety infrastructure and ensure compliance with fire protection regulations in a public-facing environment.

The works were delivered with a focus on minimal disruption to operations within the busy government facility. The project involved the removal of two original doors, followed by the installation of two new fully compliant fire-rated door sets. Each door was fitted in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and the relevant fire safety standards (BS 8214 and BS 476).

Following installation, our certified fire door installers conducted full operational testing and inspection of each key component. Each newly installed door was photographed and assessed for compliance.

All installation work was completed by third-party accredited fire door specialists, using only certificated products and fully traceable materials. The doors were labelled and logged as part of Helix FMS’s fire door compliance register.

Public sector spaces such as courthouse environments demand a robust, compliant and long-lasting fire protection strategy. Helix FMS brings trusted expertise, full certification, and a track record of high-quality delivery to every fire door project – no matter how complex or sensitive the setting.
