Project details

Helix FMS was engaged by RG Carter, acting on behalf of CSH, to carry out a comprehensive passive fire protection survey and remedial works at King Ecgbert School in Sheffield. The works were carried out on the ground floor.

This project formed a vital part of the school’s fire compliance strategy, ensuring that all service penetrations through fire compartment walls were appropriately sealed and certified in line with regulatory standards.

During the initial and follow-up surveys, our experienced team identified a number of issues compromising the compartmentation integrity of the building. All defects were photographed, logged, and cross-referenced with the school’s fire strategy drawings.

Following client approval, Helix FMS’s third-party accredited installers carried out all remedial actions using tested and approved fire-stopping materials. By partnering with Helix FMS, RG Carter and CSH ensured the new King Ecgbert School meets the highest standards of fire safety compliance. All works were delivered efficiently and documented comprehensively, contributing to a safer learning environment for students and staff alike.
