Helix FMS has built a trusted, ongoing partnership with Humber Projects, having delivered multiple critical fire safety services at Hawthorne Court Care Home across different project phases and locations.
From conducting an initial fire door condition survey to delivering two follow-up passive fire surveys, Helix FMS has played a central role in supporting the safety and compliance of this vital healthcare facility. Demonstrating the trust our repeat clients place in our team’s expertise.
Helix FMS was appointed to assess the integrity, functionality, and compliance of fire door sets throughout the care home. Our fire door specialists worked through the building methodically, starting at the ground floor reception and inspecting each door set as per the fire strategy drawings.
Each door was photographed, mapped, and recorded using our digital survey software, culminating in a detailed Fire Door Register. This approach gave the client full visibility of the building’s fire door status and guidance to achieve compliance with BS 8214 and BS 476.
Humber Projects returned to Helix FMS for back-to-back passive fire surveys during the ongoing refurbishment of Hawthorne Court’s Beverley site. This reflects the confidence our client has in our consistency, accuracy, and collaborative project delivery.
Across two visits, our certified passive fire surveyors inspected all fire compartment walls, identifying both previously unresolved and newly emerged issues. Working alongside the on-site management team, we ensured full access and minimal disruption.
Each defect was photographed, described, and cross-referenced on marked-up floor plans. Once works were completed, our certified installers ensured all solutions were delivered in line with manufacturer and BS fire safety standards.
