Helix FMS was instructed by FSC Construction, working on behalf of CSH Interiors, to carry out an urgent passive fire protection survey at the newly built Falfish Factory in Redruth, Cornwall. A food processing facility serving the UK’s seafood industry.
This project showcased our team’s commitment to rapid response, travelling from Hull to Cornwall and back in a single day to support our client’s immediate fire safety needs.
Helix FMS carried out an on-site inspection of the facility’s designated fire walls, identifying several key issues in need of remediation to meet required safety standards. Following the survey, a detailed report was produced highlighting all areas of non-compliance. Helix FMS was then re-instructed to deliver full fire stopping remediation, sealing all listed penetrations with certified passive fire protection systems.
Despite the short notice and distance, Helix FMS deployed a team immediately to meet the client’s deadline without delay.
We then returned to site promptly to carry out all remedial works, ensuring full compliance with building regulations and providing photographic verification of each item post-installation.
