Project details
Helix FMS was appointed by Apleona, a leading provider of integrated facilities services, to carry out comprehensive passive fire protection works throughout the Women and Children’s Hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary. This high-sensitivity project required meticulous planning and execution to ensure life safety standards were upheld in a live hospital environment.
Our team was tasked with inspecting and addressing fire-stopping requirements across all floors, delivering compliance-driven solutions that align with healthcare sector regulations and patient safety protocols.
Each area was tackled in alignment with BS 476 and other relevant fire safety standards, ensuring full traceability and certification of works. Helix FMS tracked and completed a total number of defect items per area, with associated completion dates and photographic proof. This data has been consolidated in a comprehensive Passive Fire Register, forming part of the final project report submitted to Apleona.
Healthcare projects demand the highest standards of diligence, discretion, and care. Helix FMS brought its proven track record in live, operational hospital environments, working without disruption to medical staff or patients. Our team ensured that safety, compliance, and professionalism remained at the forefront throughout.
